A strategy for information, advice and guidance for Adult and Community Services, London Borough of Bromley.
The development of the strategy is part of the three-year national personalisation programme, which is managed within the Supporting Independence in Bromley programme. This was formed to establish a more personalised system of support that is more responsive to the needs both of those who use
services, and carers.
The programme is designed to promote the independence, health and wellbeing of
service users and carers by focusing on prevention, early intervention, enablement and high-quality, personally tailored services. It was established that the programme’s success depended on ensuring that people with social care needs were able to access information, advice and guidance to assess their needs, to secure and manage services, and to make the most of their own and public funds to meet their needs in the most effective manner.
